This December is a special one…

The last couple of months has been very difficult to me personal as both my mom and my grandmom has gotten a cancer diagnosis; I’ve been totally put out about it, and I’ve been in and out of the hospital. My mom got her surgery at the beginning of this month which went really well, and my grandmom is getting on with her radiation therapy and is improving.

I feel we’re really blessed with an amazing reception at Radiumhospitalet, and we’re really lucky to be able to get them treated!

Though it’s taken a toll on me, this month I got the amazing and uplifting news of being nominated as Hairdresser of The Year at the annual national competition and as I’m running around as I always do in december, I’m delayed with everything!

-also with posting the pictures I’m got nominated for -yet though;

Here they finally are!

Thank you so much to the team for an amazing job!

Finally I can present to you…

…the pictures I’m nominated for in the national Norwegian category Avant Garde Hairdresser of the year. As Christmas is upon us, I’m gonna present this to you, one by one, as it’s easier to enjoy and digest them, rather than have them all thrown together -don’t rush! I+ll post the next one tomorrow!

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t happy about them, and I’m so thankful for the team I were able to work With, as they are true masters to what they do! And to the two, very special assistants for me, Wanda Yr Hajo and Stine Henriksen, I really couldn’t have done this without you! Thank you so much!

Throwback’s are a funny way to…

… look back to what has been, what you’ve done, accomplished and for giving yourself new inspiration to other projects you want to put into action so you can start the realization of them; very often, some of the most inspiring and impact full places for me to find inspiration, is actually in the play field itself; the work. It’s when I cooperate with other creatives; photographers, stylists, set designers and other craftsmen that are brought into the same play field wherever I go, that inspires and drives me to still want to reach new goals, discuss sketches, throw ideas and putting our best effort together aiming for the best result we could create together.

If you haven’t already…

… I’ld really recommend you to start caring for your summer worn hair! Has it gotten blonder, or maybe not so much? Or perhaps it’s starting to get to a “too light of a level”? I’m always recommending sun screen to all of my clients’ hair; even those with short, as they are more likely to have a sunburned scalp -though sunburn in that area is rather rare as the hair most often covers it; It’s a really unpleasant place to have a sunburn on and so therefore, the mere majority of people actually need sun protection for their upper areas of their head anyway!
